Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, welcomed President Bashar al-Assad of Syria in Tehran, where the Syrian President came to offer condolences over the tragic loss of President Ebrahim Raeisi and his companions in a helicopter crash.

Ayatollah Khamenei praised Syria's unique position in the region, attributing it to the nation's steadfast resistance against adversities. He emphasized the preservation of Syria's distinctive identity, forged during the tenure of the late Hafez Assad, marked by founding the resistance front and defying Western interference.
